Checking In

I apologize for my long hiatus. I’ve been pretty non-stop with school. It is my very last semester after all! I’ve been busy applying to all kinds of jobs. As I said in a previous post, I’m just looking to find a great opportunity writing, editing and using my creativity.

I’ve also been really busy with Horses Helping People. HOPE is an excellent equine therapy program for disabled persons (mostly children). I help socialize the kids, groom the horses, lead the horses and also exercise them, which has been a passion of mine since I was 6 years old. I’m at the barn twice a week, and I’m really enjoying this nice weather!

On another note, a little respect goes a long way people — whether it comes to friendships, romantic relationships or roommates, I urge everyone to just show each other respect. Is it that hard to make any relationship a two-way street? I’m excited to move in May and sublease for two months and then move wherever my career takes me!

Speaking of moving where my career takes me, the idea of relocating across the country is pretty scary. I have an amazing boyfriend who is graduating at the same time and is soul searching just like I am. He’s in finance, so it’s a little easier to find an opportunity anywhere. I’m applying to all the big cities because I want to be self-sufficient and have the opportunity for growth. I can’t imagine moving to California if he plans to stay in Tampa, but I know if it’s meant to be, it will be. It will all work out how it’s supposed to, and we’ll find a way to make it work if we want to — Which I think we definitely do!

The Sea Inside… portrait of a local artist

Hopefully this isn’t too small to read, but this is the first entry of my pseudo-portfolio via my blog. Although it’s a short profile, I received several complements on this work, so I’m proud to share it with the world!
